Designed in 2017 by Brian Willson of Three Islands Press (3IP), Geographica Script simulates the fine roundhand script on British maps and trade cards of the mid-1700s. Source materials include the cartographic prints of Emanuel Bowen, Geographer to King George II, as well as various other engravings. It comes with dozens of distinctive period ornamentswhale, lion rampant, crowns, and sailing shipsincluding a few by celebrated English printmaker William Hogarth. A peripheral style of our core Geographica typeface, Geographica Script seems geniuinely steeped in 18th century sophistication.
